For me, being pro-life means voting for Hillary

For Christians who are still voting for Trump and not Hillary because of the candidate’s abortion stances, does it matter that Trump’s words and policies are anti-life? Christians believe that every human life is valuable solely because people are made in the image of God. Even if a person truly believed that Trump now has actual convictions about abortion, despite the fact that he was decidedly pro-choice prior to his presidential campaign efforts (highly doubtful in my opinion), he is still the candidate that de-values human life the most. Being pro-life is more than being anti-abortion. It is also about demonstrating value for all human life, born and unborn. Making laws about abortion, while at the same time taking away social supports for women and children, demonstrates a value for the law but not a value for the people the laws serve. Such laws do not decrease abortion rates. They reflect legalism but not the Gospel. I wish I had the option of voting for a candidate that was truly pro-life. For me, the pro-life option is Hillary. Her policies over time have demonstrated far more value for the lives of the disabled, women, children, immigrants, refugees, racial minorities, and religious minorities.

For a more detailed discussion explaining why I can be pro-life and voting for Hillary, here is a blog post that I love. I don’t agree with everything she says, but almost all of it.
